Grimalkin Artist Don't do it, Neil

"As a trans artist, there isn't much support out there, even in independent music. It's difficult not only to find people willing to put your music out but people who truly, sincerely believe in what you're doing. Grimalkin Records hasn't just helped me release my music—they've helped me with *everything,* because everyone at Grimalkin actually gives a shit, and they *want* to see you succeed. They're absolute fans of everything they put out, and, even better, they always go far above and beyond in the way they support their artists as people.

They've also always been incredibly patient with my own struggles as an artist with dissociative identity disorder. In the ups and downs of my day-to-day life, I'm not always the most communicative nor am I always on top of things. With Grimalkin, they've made it easy for me to be honest about my struggles, and, when they haven't heard from me in a while, they always check in to make sure things are going all right for me. Unfailingly, Grimalkin Records has always been radically supportive, understanding, consistent, and, when I'm ready to jump back in, helpful with whatever I need for my next project." -Mabel Harper aka Don’t do it, Neil

Mabel (she/her) is a past collective member of Grimalkin and has a variety of music and writing projects, and helped with recruiting bands, artwork and graphic design, and mastering releases.

Mabel’s fantastic album I Wanna See What Death is Like was release November of 2020 as a follow up to her first Grimalkin release, B/X (2019) under her moniker Don’t Do It, Neil. Tape proceeds from I Wanna See… went to the Okra Project. Proceeds from tape sales of B/X went to No More Dysphoria.
