Testimonial from Grimalkin Artist, Collective & Board Member Infinite Bliss

Grimalkin Artist Infinite Bliss' testimonial

“I became a Grimalkin collective member and board member because I know the work Grimalkin does is critical. Grimalkin is important because they provide multiple opportunities for musicians and artists in marginalized communities and people who wouldn’t normally have access to those opportunities, such as getting their music released, getting connected with shows and festivals, interviews, and other coverage. Grimalkin works outside of the capitalist and consumerist mindset and practices that the rest of the music industry works within.

Personally, Grimalkin has helped me connect with writers, artists, musicians, and other producers, and they have taught me a lot about how to effectively create and release music on a DIY level without compromising my integrity and vision. They have also given me performance opportunities locally and beyond, such as the Suoni Per Il Popolo in Montreal and Grimalkin’s first annual music festival this past summer In Richmond, VA.”

Eric Kemp (they/them) aka Infinite Bliss is an ambient and drone metal musician who often uses loops, tape noise and samples in their music. They have contributed a track on our Gr & Friends compilation and curated a Halloween release called Mischief Night in 2020. They are currently working on an album to release through Grimalkin and we cannot wait to share it with the world! They help Grimalkin with reviewing music submissions, occasional A&R, creating exclusive content for our supporters on Patreon and Bandcamp, fundraising, and with booking shows locally.
