Tape proceeds go to Rede Feminina do Combate ao Câncer de Ponta Grossa (Women’s Network to Fight Cancer of Ponta Grossa ~ translation) -- an organization founded in 1956 that is focused on helping low income women fighting with cancer, they help over 200 hundred patients monthly donating medicines, getting doctors, doing transport and even hosting and accommodating homeless patients.
Rafa’s statement:
Coração de Pássaro is an album dedicated to my mother, the lyrics and concept revolve around her death. When she was alive and stuck on a bed with no help whatsoever from the government, Rede Feminina was really there for her and for me, they payed for her monthly neurological medicine, which was expansive, they bought a new mattress, they had doctors for her and for me - they really took care of us. Glad to help out even if it's in a small way.
