For As Briefly As I Live by Dani Lee Pearce

$10.00

Dani's new album, For As Briefly As I Live brings us her unique weird brand of pop piano and quirky ballads: "Commitment has the ability to intertwine such mutually opposite but attracted things like love and death in ways often unexplained or unexplored. The two are either separate or complimentary, never in between. This album is a collection of songs that explores this from the perspective of a frequently shy, nervous, and lonely trans woman; Someone in a period of processing the implications of her own mortality in an unstable time, while at the same time, being absolutely smitten with a devotion that's made for a timely antidote which makes living worth its rough and complicated while."

Proceeds from cassettes go to Critical Resistance in Portland, OR. "Critical Resistance seeks to build an international movement to end the Prison Industrial Complex by challenging the belief that caging and controlling people makes us safe. We believe that basic necessities such as food, shelter, and freedom are what really make our communities secure. As such, our work is part of global struggles against inequality and powerlessness. The success of the movement requires that it reflect communities most affected by the PIC. Because we seek to abolish the PIC, we cannot support any work that extends its life or scope."

Many thank yous to:

Maddie for being an absolute dear and amazing
friend/collaborator/girlfriend while we were that for each other,
for being such a powerful songwriting inspiration during this
period of time and for being there and being so radiant, positive
and encouraging while I finished this album at your house in Milwaukee.

GG/Gloria Lustre (irkallalustre.bandcamp.com) for
always providing me the intricate feedback for my songs and music
videos that I always seek from the people I show my work to, for
being a tremendous positive emotional and psychological anchor in
my life, and an always amazing and magical partner. You are so so
essential to me and one of my greatest sources of peace and
happiness right now.

Grimalkin for being the first label I've submitted to who's
actually seen value in my work and wanted to release me. It may
not seem like much but it feels like a huge next step for me
and my music. I'm so honored to be released alongside all the
other artists in your catalogue!

My small cadre of fans who post about me on places like reddit
and RYM in attempts to spread the word about my music and
support me on twitter and patreon. You all are so good and
have definitely helped me keep going through rough patches.
